Scarabée –
A Six-Legged Spectacle
Scarabée follows two travellers, inspired by the journeys of Marco Polo and the mythical silkworm.
They move from place to place with suitcases filled with memories, stories, and strange objects collected in distant lands.
When one of the suitcases slowly opens, a hidden mechanical universe is revealed.
Among gears and delicate movements, wondrous creatures awaken — a dragonfly that dances softly, a glowworm weaving light and shadow, a silkworm in its silent metamorphosis.

A Collection of Miniature Worlds
Scarabée is a series of openings in space.
Each stop of the travellers becomes an encounter. Each suitcase a small theatre.
What is revealed is fragmentary: a sequence of miniature stories in which mechanical insects and small scenes continuously appear and disappear.
Travel, Change and Imagination
The performance departs from the idea of travel as a collection of impressions, stories, and objects.
The suitcases carry traces of journeys, but also of transformation. What is hidden is never fully revealed — only in fragments that invite discovery.

An ideal experience for those in search of:
-
a mobile, visual street theatre performance
-
a poetic and visual audience experience
-
a performance built from short, discoverable scenes
-
interaction between space, performance, and mechanical elements
-
an intimate yet audience-facing format for festivals and public space
-
a production that can be flexibly adapted to diverse contexts
-
a universe in which imagination and movement take centre stage
“The combination of movement, scenography, and storytelling simply works. It is rare for an attraction to radiate so much atmosphere and quality.”
